Layered Chocolate Dessert:
Crust:
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
chopped pecans if desired.
Mix all together and press in greased 9x13 inch pan, bake 20 minutes until golden at the edges, cool.
First filling layer:
1- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup cool whip
Cream cream cheese, add powdered sugar and vanilla, mix well, fold in cool whip carefully spread over crust.
Second filling:
1 small pkg. chocolate instant pudding mix
1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
3 cups whole or 2 % milk
Whisk together until thick pour over and spread evenly on cream cheese layer, chill until firm, then top with 8 oz. cool whip. Chill until serving. You can use any flavor of pudding mix you like, chocolate is our favorite!
